The Centerpiece: Vintage Jat Hand-Embroidery
The beautiful soul of this dress is a unique, vintage front yoke featuring the traditional hand-embroidery of the nomadic Jat community of Kutch. Renowned for its geometric precision and tiny, glittering mirror-work, this hand-stitched panel gives the dress an unmistakable, authentic heritage charm.
Artisan Sufiyan Khatri Ajrakh Canvas
Framing the vintage embroidery is a naturally dyed, premium cotton fabric block printed by the celebrated master artisan, Sufiyan Khatri. Utilizing the traditional Ajrakh method, the rich indigo blue and white print features a simple daisy pattern that beautifully mimics hand-tied Bandhani art. To bring out the joyful colors of the embroidery, the yoke is highlighted by a narrow band of a contrasting print, finished with coordinating graphic borders along the sleeves and hemline.
