My true love affair is with cotton, but I can’t help but be mesmerized buy the jewel like hues Ajrakh achieves on Modal. In this dress, I’ve combined the two. The colorful bib front and sleeve borders glow in a pattern mix of naturally dyed, lustrous, hand printed Modal. Tiny hand embroidered glass mirrors give subtle sparkle to the edges where modal meets cotton…. And what beautiful fine cotton it is!
Block printed with a small and simple black and white spot, this cotton fabric is a dream to wear. Soft, cool and of premium quality, this fabric’s matte finish and iron black print gives the perfect contrast to the indigo, iron black and red shades of the bodice.
